Tony Kart Racer 401S

The Racer chassis, available in the single speed version and with the gearbox, takes a S but loses weight in favor of a better handling. However, the design philosophy based on the molybdenum chrome tubes of Ø 30 mm, remains unchanged. Many are the enhancements done on the previous 401, suggested by the Tony Kart Racing Team and developed by OTK Kart Group R&D department.
A name that has made the history

RACER, WINNING GENERATION

The 401S is the extreme evolution of the Tony Kart Racer. Born in 2000, through its several editions over the years, it has been able to collect 7 World Championships and many international titles. What are the developments on the 401S? A reduction of the total weight, several details (the new floor plate, the sprocket’s hub with two screws, the steering column support, the front bumper connection) and a renewed rear brake caliper for the single speed version. What does not change? The philosophy behind the project based on the use of high quality raw materials and sophisticated machinery, which eliminate the possibility of error; the constant, continuous, ceaseless development given by the information gathered in dozens of international competitions faced by the Tony Kart Racing Team.

OK BRAKING

For the single speed categories (OK, OK-Junior and alike) the Racer 401S proposes the new BSD rear brake caliper. Forged in one-piece and with 2 pistons of Ø 34.5 mm, with stroke recovery, combined with the evolution type brake tubes and DOT 5.1, it is the result of a development carried out on the most prestigious and demanding tracks. Extreme conditions overcame in a win, that give Tony Kart drivers a smarter and more adjustable braking system, thanks to the renewed brake caliper, more tough and stable in performance. All this is linked with the usual business approach of OTK Kart Group that involves the use of only selected materials and tested to ensure maximum performance in the most extreme conditions of use.

DESIGNED BY THE WIND

In karting fractions of seconds are very important. This is the reason why Tony Kart, thanks to OTK Kart Group R&D department, has decided to explore, with a scientific approach, a field which is still known a little to karting: aerodynamics. And so, thanks to intense wind tunnel testing, the OTK M6 fairings are born (CIK-FIA 2015-2020 homologated), able to increase aerodynamics and to convey the air flow in the most appropriate and functional areas. Nevertheless, these studies, have indelibly marked also the graphic design of the top-range Tony Kart chassis, now a real symbol able to make their mark in the circuits all over the world.

WINNING PACKAGE

KZ version of the Racer 401S inherits from OK version all the main technical features. It stands out, though, for some details that have allowed the Racer to gain several KZ titles. This was possible thanks to a specific technical package which provides a dedicated frame design, further renewed with the introduction of the 401S, as well as a next-generation braking system, the BSS. The latter is featured by one-piece brake calipers with a 4-piston of Ø 22 mm operating system with stroke recovery. For maximum response and braking control.
