In the fifth and final round of the WSK Super Master Series, the Tony Kart Racer 401 T scores the pole position in OKJ class with Julian Frasnelli and takes the first place in the OK final with Jindřich Pešl.
The WSK Super Master Seriesof the Tony Kart Racing Team ends with a poleposition and a victory. On the occasion of the fifth and final round of the season in Viterbo, featured by changing weather, the Tony Kart Racer 401 T is successful in all track conditions and able to gain the victory in the OK category, paired with the Vortex VTS engine and also takes the pole position in OKJ, driven by the VTJ of the OTK Kart Group engine division. The Tony Kart Rookie goes to the track in the MINI Gr.3, equipped with the VTM engine.
In OK class, after the excellent performances gained in the previous rounds, Jindřich Pešl climbs on the top step of the podium in the last round of the championship. Once again, the Czech is among the fastest drivers in the qualifyings, with the second best time in group 1, hits a second place as the best result in qualifying heats and also ranks second in prefinal B. In the final, from the third row and despite the track conditions due to the rain, fallen copiously a few hours earlier, Pešl does not make any mistakes at the starting grid and remains firmly in the leading group, until gaining the second place. Left behind the race leader for a long time waiting for the most favorable moment to attack, our standard-bearer takes the lead seven laps from the end and, unchallenged, flies straight to success. In the championship, waiting for the confirmation of the sub-judice results of the prefinal A, Pešl wins the bronze medal.
The final sees Oliver Rasmussen at the starting grid, author of a comeback of 13 positions compared to his starting box. On a new circuit full of pitfalls, Thomas Pradier completes good races in view of the next seasonal events.
In OKJ, just back from the victory in Franciacorta, Ilie Tristan Crisan secures his third place in the final championship standings. After a complicated qualifying due to the rain, the Canadian driver stands out in the next qualifying heats with a second place and two fastest laps; the best time of 52.857 seconds, recorded in heat A-D, remains unbeaten for the rest of the weekend. Sunday, also featured by rain, does not facilitate Crisan's work, who is, however, able to reach the finish line of the final and to win further points.
Julian Frasnelli's weekend, in his first full season among the "Juniors", starts in the best possible way, with a pole position in Friday's qualifying, thanks to a time of 53.640 seconds obtained in group 2, and goes on fighting, in the following races, against the most experienced category’s rivals. Henri Constant Kumpen and Nikita Ljubimov, two other rookies, also take part in the final, while Oliveri Sini runs useful kilometers to strengthen his experience.
In the MINI Gr.3, Jean Poujol leads our drivers throughout the entire event. The French driver collects two podiums and a fastest lap in the qualifying heats, runs the podium in prefinal B and climbs the ranking of 8 positions in the final, placing himself in the top ten. Tiberius Müller and Victor Thomas Gorun constantly improve their situation in the rankings, performing several overtakes during the final. Miguel Enrique Manzano Suarez, Henri Möhring and Linghan Li also collect positive feedback.
The next events in the Tony Kart Racing calendar include the attendance of the drivers of the MINI Gr.3 categories in the 36th Andrea Margutti Trophy, scheduled at the South Garda Karting in Lonato del Garda (20th -23rd March 2025), while the drivers of the OK and OKJ classes will attend the first round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Campillos, Spain (26th -29th March).
