Betsch 3rd position in the Super Cup
CIK-FIA World Championship for KF category and Super CUP for KFJ at the British PF International Circuit.
On the occasion of the first World Championship for KF category, held at the British PF International circuit, the Super Cup reserved to the KF Junior class was run. In the cadet class it is important to remind Mick Betsch’s performance, author of a weekend always at top positions, which led our young driver to his first podium in a CIK-FIA competition, with the third position.
The Super Cup was once more a triumph for our products, which gained the complete podium. Other than Betsch, third position, the Ricky Flynn Motorsport’s drivers took the first two positions, they are Lando Norris (UK) and Jehan Daruvala (UK), both at the drive of a FA Kart chassis powered by Vortex engines.
Concerning the first out of the two rounds of the world championship for KF category, the British PFI circuit we were not so lucky. Karol Basz ran very good heats, and he could obtain the second place twice, gaining the sixth position after the heats. Finally Basz conquered the second position in the pre-final 2.
Our driver was not able to get free from his closest rival and fought during the whole race for gaining good scores, running with strong drivers but not succeeding in gaining any of the podium’s steps. Under the chequered flag Basz ended with a eleventh position.
Andy Chang lost time due to some few collisions and the same happened to the Rok Talent Nirei Fukuzumi. The last driver, after a very good qualifying and good heats, was involved at the starting grid of the very final in a collision which prevented him to took advantage of this opportunity for gaining good scores.
Takashi Kasai stopped in the pre-final because of an electrical problem. In the British weekend we also have to remind Nikita Mazepin’s withdrawal in KFJ category. Our Russian driver could not attend the competition for a light accident occurred in the paddock.
